India Leather Show In Montreal

India Leather Show In Montreal Montreal: The India Council for Leather Exports in association with the High Commission of India (Ottawa) and TFO Canada recently announced a sourcing exhibition for Canadian trade buyers of leather products from India. The two-day event will take place from October 11-12th at the Palais de congrès de Montréal and will feature over 25 suppliers of leather garments, footwear, footwear components, fashion accessories (including gloves and handbags) and saddlery products (including harnesses and saddles).

India is the world’s second largest producer of footwear, the third largest supplier of leather apparel and the fifth largest supplier of leather accessories.  Indian manufacturers supply leather and leather products to leading international brands in countries around the world.  And yet to date Canadian retailers and importers have not taken full advantage of the vast range of leather supply opportunities that are available from India as less than 2% of the $2.4 billion in Canadian imports of footwear, leather garments and leather goods/accessories originate from India.

This solo trade show at the Palais des congrès de Montréal will introduce Canadian retailers and wholesalers to a variety of new supplier and product opportunities.  Over 200 buyers are expected to attend the event.
