Night Market Comes To Toronto Waterfront
Toronto: The T&T Waterfront Night Market promises to bring a modern-day tradition from across the Pacific Ocean to Toronto’s doorstep on evenings from July 20 to 22 at 222 Cherry Street. Unlike any event to ever take place along Toronto’s Waterfront, the night market will indulge the city’s senses with food, culture and entertainment.
Produced by the Night Market Canada Cultural Organization and hosted by NAAAP Toronto, in partnership with Apex Media Group, and the Official Host Venue and Title Sponsor T&T Supermarket, this year’s event will feature a wonderful selection of over 120 vendor booths, at which guests can enjoy a delicious range of Asian delicacies, purchase specialty drinks like Bubble Tea as well as browse through an assortment of lifestyle products.
The President’s Choice Centre Stage Feature Presentation will host a variety of entertaining performances benefiting the Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation. Additional highlights include; Nightly Kraft Canada Cooking demos, Graffiti Competition, Glow & Shine Custom Car Show, Sports competitions, and the return of the popular Kids Zone. Spectacular new features this year include the; Canada Dry Outdoor Theatre, Liv3 Healthy Stage, Raptor’s Fan Zone, and the exciting Conklin Midway filled with games and thrilling rides. Night Markets originated in large Pan-Asian cities like Taipei, providing a hub for residents and tourists alike to find authentic goods and food selections from hundreds of local merchants. It wasn’t long before Night Markets migrated to North America, where they have become permanent fixtures in cities with large Asian populations like Vancouver, Seattle and San Francisco.
