Raj’s Passion Is Magic

Raj's Passion Is Magic Mississauga: Magic is not his profession; it is his passion. Rajeshwar Wupradrishta was born and brought up in Hyderabad, India. He has been a magician for over two decades. A post-graduate in Management and Computer Sciences, he believes that the aim of magic is mainly to eradicate superstitions and to entertain people.

What makes a moment truly “magical”? For Magician Raj, it is a point in time when a person is transported, even if only for a fleeting moment, back to a place where the wonder and fantasy of childhood still exists, where anything and everything is possible! “When I perform, whether it be for audiences large or small, young or old, my goal is simple; to put a smile on each and every spectator’s face, a twinkle in their eye, and a memory of astonishment in their hearts and minds.”

Is there any risk involved?

Raj’s two young daughters, Rupa and Ramya, assist him in all his shows, learning the skills needed to perform shows in a variety of settings from their father. He hopes that they will be magicians performing independently in the near future.

At the recent South Asian Canada Day at Celebration Square in Mississauga,  Raj enthralled kids and adults alike with his excellent illusions including his little daughter Ramya, flying in mid air on a carpet!

A resident of Mississauga today, Raj says he took a break from magic to concentrate “on my studies and to have a traditional career”. But he is back to magic once more, with the encouragement of  wife Rama, my daughters Rupa, Ramya and family friend Rama Amzuri.
