Seniors Celebrate Seniors Month
Brampton: The Seniors Month was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Seniors Club Hindu Sabha on 27th June 2012. There were more than 350 community seniors participants.
President of the Seniors Club Shambhu Dutt Sharma opened the evening with a message on the sad demise of their Club’s Director Late Mr. Ramesh Bhai Patel. National Anthems of Canada and India were sung by Nidhi Joshi and Jasmeen Sharma .Mr Shambhu Dutt Sharma started inviting the distinguished community leaders one by one and executive of the club honored the guests for their long time voluntary services to the community and helping the club in their endeavours to achieve club’s goal and objectives.
Cultural and recreational program started with singing of songs, poems, tit bits and messages by Inderjit Bhargria,Mrs Mohini Khosla, Mr & Mrs Uncle Duggal, Mrs Asha Johri and Mrs Raj Sharma.
Seniors from the community were honored for their long time services to the temple and community at large namely Mr Gyan Chand Joshi and Mrs Chand Rani Joshi of BR Auto, Smt Bindrawattee Rishi Maharaj, Mr Madan and Mrs Mohini Khosla, Mr Rajpaul and Smt Chandarkanta Mehta, Smt Sarla Dubey,Mr Goverdhandas and Sarla Aurora, Mr Dinesh Sharma, Kitchen Incharge.
From Hindu Sabha temple Mr Sat Paul Malik, Seniormost Trustee, Mr Praveen Sharma, President and Mr Inderjit Bhagria, Trustee and Mr Shambhu Dutt Sharma, President Seniors Club, honoured many special invitees from the community.
