Digvijay Claims Kejriwal Rejected From Membership To NAC

Was Kejriwal Rejected From Membership To NAC?New Delhi: India Against Corruption (IAC) activist Arvind Kejriwal wanted to be in the National Advisory Council (NAC) but was turned down by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi who knew more about him, party general secretary Digvijay Singh said Monday. “Kejriwal had come to me to recommend his name to be made part of the NAC, but Sonia Gandhi probably knew more about him, and she refused,” Singh told TV news channel NDTV.

Headed by Sonia Gandhi, the National Advisory Council monitors the implementation of the UPA government’s manifesto, the Common Minimum Programme.
Referring to Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra, who is allegedly involved in dubious land deals, Singh also said that the Congress does not target families of people who are in politics. “Ranjan Bhattacharya was not in politics, but has the Congress ever said a word against him or about Advani’s children?” said Singh.
Bhattacharya is the son-in-law of Bharatiya Janata Party’s former chief and ex-prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal reacted to Singh’s allegation saying, “Digvijay is only telling lies, I don’t want to respond to it”.
