ARYA SAMAJ CELEBRATES REPUBLIC DAY

Arya Samaj, Markham, Rajasthan Association of North America and Sanatan Mandir Cultural Centre Jointly celebrated 71 Indian Republic Day at Vedic Cultural Centre on January 26,2020.

The event was attended by Govt. dignitaries as well Indo-Canadian elites and Friends of India. India,indeed,has been the Cradle of Democracy since ancient times going back to about 600 B.C. and presently the largest function democracy in the world.

Amar Erry,President of Arya Samaj welcomed the guests praising their continued support to Indo-Canadian community. Hon.Mary Ng.,Federal Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade highlighted the close relationship between Canada and India and the significance of democratic values to further world peace. Among others Hon.

Helena Jaczek (federal MP),Don Hamilton ,Deputy Mayor and Regional Councillor of Markham,KhalLid Usman ,Regional Counclillor ,Deputy Chief ,Brian Bigras of York Regional Police and Prof.Devendra Mishra expressed their sentiments about the importance of the event and contributions of the Indo-Canadian community.

The second part of the celebration was the thrilling presentations of dance and patriotic songs presented by the artists of various age groups. The organizer and coordinators of the Cultural Programme as well as the EMCEES did a commendable job. The event concluded with a luncheon.
