MISSISSAUGA: Ontario’s Minister of Agriculture, Food & Rural Affairs, and MPP for Oxford, Ernie Hardeman, spent the Sunday (August 23) morning visiting the Lions Farmers Market in Mississauga, accompanied by MPP of Mississauga Centre Natalia Kusendova.
The market had a bounty of delicious, top-quality local Ontario food on display. “Thanks to all Lion’s club volunteers for keeping the market operating safely and smoothly. #loveONTfood,’ he tweeted later.
The Lions Farmers Market in Mississauga opened on July 5, 2020, and will run weekly until October 25, 2020.
There are nearly 400 free parking spaces for shoppers adjacent to the market. Parking on the upper level adjacent to the market is restricted.
The Mississauga Central Lions Club has operated Farmers Markets as a fundraiser in Mississauga since 1975. In that time the club has raised and donated well over five
Million dollars to our community.
