TORONTO: The Ontario government is investing $5,590,800 in capital funding to help Seneca College undertake repairs, upgrades and provide a modern and safe learning environment.
Vincent Ke, MPP, Don Valley North. Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Culture and Sport, has thanked Minister of College and Universities Ross Romano, after making the announcement along with Seneca President David Agnew.
Romano said: “Our government is committed to ensuring our postsecondary institutions are equipped with state-of-theart technologies, so students have the skills they need when entering the workforce.”
Meanwhile, Seneca’s Newnham Campus in Toronto will be greener and more natural, thanks to a recent funding from the City of Toronto.
Seneca received $76,653 through the City’s Greening Partnership Grant to plant 1,220 shrubs and trees native to Ontario at Newnham Campus (Finch Ave. and Hwy. 404) by 2022.
The funding will help to create a more sustainable and naturalized landscape on campus, helping reduce Seneca’s carbon footprint.
