Amazing Line-Up Of Musicians To Take Part At Multiple Venues Along With Cuisine, Kids Zone Etc.
Toronto: One of Toronto’s longest running South Asian Music festival is back again for its 13th year at Yonge-Dundas Square in 2019.
“We are really happy to be back in 2019 to showcase another talented group of musicians from all over the world. Our selection team is working hard to curate and assemble an amazing lineup from Canada, India, Pakistan, U.K., U.S., West Indies and Sri Lanka. We are also very grateful to our Presenting Sponsor, TD, for their continued commitment to celebrate diversity through music,” says festival CEO and Founder Sathish Bala.
This year, desiFEST is expanding to include four days of music programming in multiple venues across Toronto:
June 5th – NiLA
June 6th – Face The Music Conference
June 7th – desiFEST Pre-Party
June 8th – desiFEST Main Concert (12hr of free outdoor music)
Along with the music, visitors will also get a taste of South Asian cuisine at the outdoor food market, experience family fun at the Kids Zone, engage in multiple interactive onsite activations, and walk away winners with countless giveaways. There is something for everyone!
desiFEST is expecting over 150,000 visitors across all the events. Brands and market/food vendors looking to benefit from desiFEST’s large marketing platform and audience base are encouraged to get in touch with the organisers.
desiFEST, a unique celebration of South Asian culture, is organized annually as a non-profit to develop the culture and art scene flourishing in South Asian communities in Canada.
Since its inception in 2007, desiFEST has been a platform that has worked with the South Asian community, to share music and dance across genres, enabling young members of the diaspora to showcase their unique desi sound. The festival aims to show the world the vibrant music that comes from those with roots in South Asian countries, while unifying local communities through great music and the celebration of culture.
