BRAMPTON: Get crafty and learn new skills – children ages 6 to 10 and older adults ages 55+ can engage in virtual workshops from the comfort of their own homes this holiday season.
Virtual Holiday Camps and Workshops for Children Ages 6 to 10: Beginning December 19, children ages 6 to 10 can enjoy virtual holiday camps and workshops that offer safe, festive fun from the comfort of home.
Participants can build new friendships, increase their social skills, and work on exciting projects at their own pace while interacting in real-time with peers their age.
These activities will be led by trained City of Brampton camp instructors using WebEx.
Materials will need to be picked up the week before programs begin via curbside pick-up at Greenbriar Recreation Centre. During online registration, participants can choose their preferred material pick-up timeslot.
Virtual Holiday Workshops for Older Adults Ages 55+: On January 5, 2021, adults ages 55+ are invited to join virtual workshops in ceramics and 3D model kits, and a paint night.
These activities will be led by the City of Brampton instructors using WebEx. Materials will be available for curbside pick-up the week before programs begin at Flower City Seniors Recreation Centre. During online registration, participants can choose their preferred material pick-up timeslot.
Holiday Craft Kits Calling all junior crafters! As part of Brampton Recreation’s Rec At Home program, an online hub of fitness and craft tutorials for residents of all ages, children can enjoy two additional at-home holiday activities for free.
Children can take part in two at-home holiday activities by following step-by-step online tutorials. Create your own reindeer or snow globe with a ready-made activity kit.
Free activity kits are available for curbside pick-up at select outdoor rinks beginning December 19, while supplies last.
