The Gujarati Population in Canada is growing very rapidly for the last 15 years and is estimated to be close to 400,000 today.
Just like the US, thousands of Gujaratis have now started their own small, medium and large businesses in Canada, in all sectors including Hotels, Motels, I.T., Healthcare and more.
To bring them on a common platform, to provide useful referrals and contacts to everyone, and to assist in their business / career growth, a new National, Business platform for Gujarati Business Owners and Professionals – called Global Gujarati Network (GGN) – has now started in Canada.
The formal launch event for GGN was held at the Speranza by Chandni Banquet Hall in Brampton last Friday, where over 175 Gujarati Business Owners and professionals gathered to give it a perfect start. Mr. Venki Raman, Vice President – CIBC (Personal and Business Banking) was the Keynote Speaker, while Mr. Mukesh Narula, the High Performance Coach for Cricket Canada (and someone who has played with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag) was recognized with the first ever GGN Achiever Award. Jhankaar Group performed Ganesh Vandana, Garbo and Gujarati Folk Dance. Delicious Dinner was also served for all.
Global Gujarati Network is the brainchild of Mr. Vipul Jani, ably supported by the co-promoter Mr. Sanjay Bateriwala.
In the one month since it’s launch, GGN has already received over 30 business members including from GTA, Ottawa, Ahmedabad, Baroda and elsewhere.
Business and Networking events will be organized every few weeks, the next event now being planned on Feb. 28 in Mississauga.
Annual Memberships start from only $ 150. For more information, please contact : Vipul Jani : 416-827-5189 / Sanjay Bateriwala : 647-522-2782. (E-mail) globalgujaratinetwork@gmail.com / (Website) www.globalgujaratinetwork.com
