Brampton, ON, April 23, 2019 – MP Sidhu celebrated Ram Navmi and Hari Jayanti on the ninth and last day of Chaitra Navaratri with visits to the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Etobicoke, the Gauri Shankar Mandir in my home of Brampton, and the Hindu Swaminarayan Mandir and Cultural Centre in Mississauga – the home of the Yogi Divine Society Canada
She extended her warmest greetings to all those who were celebrating the auspicious occasions of Ram Navmi and Hari Jayanti on the ninth and last day of Chaitra Navaratri.
In the hustle and bustle of life it is easy to forget what truly matters – one’s friends, one’s family, and one’s community. Occasions such as this give us the opportunity to focus on the truly important things in life. And, it also allows us to truly cherish and recognize the contributions the Hindu community has made to our home and native land. We wouldn’t be who we are without them.
Quotes
“Occasions, celebrations, and festivals such as Ram Navmi, Hari Jayanti, and Chaitra Navaratri give us the opportunity to come together, put aside our differences, and truly realize how it is our relations with the people around us which truly make up the special moments in our lives. It was an absolute pleasure celebrating with the Hindu community this year.”
“I would like to thank the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, the Gauri Shankar Mandir, and the Hindu Swaminarayan Mandir and Cultural Centre for all that they do for the sake of their devotees and for making such an effort to bring the community together.”
