Mississauga: Eight residents of the city were inducted this week into Mississauga’s Legends’ Row.
Mayor Bonnie Crombie, and former mayor Hazel McCallion were present at the ceremony.
Mayor Crombie hailed Mohammed Fakih of Paramount Fine Foods who was one of the inductees.
She said: “Being named a member of Legends Row is the highest honour a citizen of Mississauga can achieve. On behalf of Mississauga City Council I would like to applaud the Legends Row organization for creating this lasting outdoor museum…
This is an initiative that is long overdue and I’m certain will generate a great deal of enthusiasm amongst our citizens and the many visitors who come to Celebration Square in the years ahead. Mississauga truly is a diverse city filled with so many philanthropists, artists, activists & community leaders who proudly call our City home. Congrats to all 8 inductees!”
