Ottawa: Ms. Ruby Sahota, Member of Parliament for Brampton North, was re-elected as Chair of the Procedure and House Affairs Committee.
MP Sahota has been a member of the Procedure and House Affairs Committee since the 42nd Parliament and previously served as Chair during the 43rd Parliament.
As Chair of the Procedure and House Affairs Committee, MP Sahota will precede over committee meetings as the committee studies and reports on electoral matters (Elections Canada), and the rules and practices of the House and its committees.

MP Sahota has previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development, the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, the Standing Committee on the Status of Women, the Special Committee on Electoral Reform, and served as the Chair of the Federal Liberal Ontario Caucus.
