Police looking for suspects after Hamilton shooting leaves one dead

Hamilton police say one man is dead after a shooting outside a billiards club early Saturday morning.

Investigators say the incident happened just after 1:30 a.m. in the city’s downtown core.

They say the man was pronounced dead at the scene after being found on a sidewalk without vital signs.

Police say they’re looking for two men who were seen arguing with the victim before the shooting.

The suspects were described as a lighter skinned black man with no facial hair, wearing a dark toque, dark hoodie and dark puffy jacket, and a darker skinned black man wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants and dark jacket.

Police say they have been able to identify the victim but are awaiting confirmation from a post-mortem examination.
