The Rock’s ‘Fast and Furious’ spin-off promises ‘belly laughs’


Speaking at the Sundance Film Festival, Dwayne Johnson and his producing partners tease upcoming “Fast and Furious” spin-off, “Hobbs And Shaw,” with Johnson revealing how they approached Jason Momoa to play his brother.

The world is at stake as, as is it always is in the ‘Fast and Furious’ universe.  Every movie – right – the world is at stake.  And I got to tell you, we, we just wrapped a couple of days ago – two days ago, I think – and the belly laughs they’re going to get and I will tell you this from experience, I’ve been around the block a few times, had a few barbecues in this business – I’ve never gotten more joy than making Jason Statham laugh, every scene to the point where he can’t actually say words.”
