Fusion cuisine is one that combines elements of different culinary traditions. Cuisines of this type are not categorized according to any one particular cuisine style and have played a part in a number of innovations.
Fusion food is a general term for the combination of various forms of cookery and comes in several forms.
Ingredients :
º Coffee decoction 2 tablespo teaspoon
º Refined flour 1½ cups
º Powdered sugar ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons
º Baking powder 1 teaspoon
º Salt a pinch
º Cocoa powder 2 tablespoons
º Eggs 2
º Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
º Milk ¼ cup
º Melted butter 1 tablespo + for greasing
º Mascarpone creaamcheese ½ cup
º Whipped cream 1 cup
º Dark chocolate as required
º Chocolate sauce to sprinkle
º Strawberries hulled 3-4
º Fresh mint leaves for garnishing
Method
Step 1
Preheat a waffle iron.
Step 2
Sieve together flour, ¼ cup powdered sugar, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder into a bowl and mix. Make a cavity in the centre, add eggs, vanilla essence and 2 tablespoons coffee decoction and whisk well.
Step 3
Add milk and whisk. Add butter and whisk to make a smooth batter.
Step 4
Grease the preheated waffle iron with some butter, pour a ladleful of batter and cook for 2-3 minutes or till golden from both sides. Place it on a plate. Make more waffles similarly.
Step 5
To prepare cream cheese mixture, take cream cheese, 4 tablespoons powdered sugar and ½ teaspoon coffee decoction in another bowl and whisk well. Add whipped cream and fold in well.
Step 6
Fill a piping bag fitted with a nozzle with cream cheese mixture. Halve the waffles. Prepare chocolate shavings with a peeler.
Step 8
Pipe out cream cheese mixture in alternate cavities of waffle halves.
Step 9
Make a design with some chocolate sauce on one side of a serving platter.
Pipe some cream cheese rosettes and place the waffles on the side. Garnish with strawberries, chocolate shavings and mint leaves.
Serve immediately.
