10,000 Expected At Parliament Of World Religions; Family Fun, Musical Shows Planned
TORONTO: – The Parliament of the World’s Religions, the largest global interfaith gathering, is coming to Toronto. The 2018 Parliament will be held November 1 – 7 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The Parliament wants to encourage Canadian families to be part of this exciting event by offering a discounted rate. Families – up to three children and two accompanying adults – can attend for the weekend of November 2 – 4 for just $100 CDN (lunch included). This is less than the cost of a regular single registration. The registration process is as follows: Go to www.parliamentofreligions.org to register for ticket purchase. The registrant pays for themselves, then receives the promo code via email for free registration for the additional adult and up to three children. The code is active for three days after receipt. Links to all registrations will be included in the email.
RULES FOR THE WEEKEND FAMILY REGISTRATION – the special rate is only available to accompanying adults of children registered for the Interfaith Family Festival. The promo code will also apply a 25% discount for all other registration types for the Parliament – Day, Weekend, and 7-Day passes for adults, students and children.
The Parliament is hosting activities for all family members to enjoy at the Interfaith Family Festival, held November 2 to November 6. Families are invited to play and learn together by participating in interactive fun activities including: arts and crafts, live theatrical and musical performances, parenting workshops and much more.
Toronto has the most diverse population of any city in the world and is a magnate for visitors from around the globe. This makes it the perfect community to host the 7th Parliament of the World’s Religions.
The Parliament of the World’s Religions will welcome more than 10,000 delegates from 80 countries representing nearly 200 religious, spiritual and Indigenous traditions.

The Toronto Parliament will explore three themes: The Promise of Inclusion; The Power of Love: Pursing Global Understanding; and Reconciliation and Change.
The Parliament of the World’s Religions will feature more than 500 programs and events and will feature notable keynote speakers including: Canadian author Margaret Atwood, former Ontario Premier Bob Rae, former Prime Minister Kim Campbell, Dr. Payam Akahvan, Dr. Vandana Shiva, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, Dr. Simran Jeet Singh and Dr. Karen Armstrong.
