Toronto police investigating shooting that left one woman dead in Scarborough

Toronto police are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead in the city’s northeast end.

Police Const. Craig Brister says the woman was pronounced dead on the scene in the area of Sheppard Avenue and Havenview Road in Scarborough on Friday night.

Police are not releasing any other details on the victim.

One man was arrested and police say there are no outstanding suspects.

Police say the death is the city’s 11th homicide of 2020.
