TORONTO: Turkish Airlines has joined the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) as a Gold Sponsor.
Kanwar Dhanjal, President of the ICCC, made the announcement on Thursday. Pramod Goyal, Vice President and Director of Finance and Sponsorship, who was instrumental in getting the sponsorship, said, “Turkish Airlines is a premier brand, and it is for the first time that we have a sponsor from a country other than Canada or India joining our band of sponsors.”
The agreement was signed by ICCC’s Dhanjal and Goyal and Turkish Airlines’ General Manager, Zafer Bolukbasi. Present were Ayhan Ugur, Sales Manager, and Tarique Anwar, Regional Corporate Sales Manager at the Turkish Airlines’ office in downtown Toronto.
Zafer Bolukbasi, said, “We are looking forward to a fruitful association with the ICCC and are hopeful that we will be able to introduce the fascinating destinations in Turkey that are culturally so enriching.” Mr. Bolukbasi is a veteran at the Turkish Airlines, having worked with the airline since 1994. He has been the General Manager of the Toronto office since 2015, and served earlier as General Manager at Cape Town, South Africa and in Switzerland.
Ayhan Ugur and Tarique Anwar said Turkish Airlines offers multiple destinations in India at competitive rates. Tarique added, “We are excited to partner with ICCC and are proud to have their support”. Turkish Airlines flies to over 302 destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, and to over 11 destinations in India.
