TORONTO: Panorama India’s ‘Yoga Day’ Photo Contest saw an overwhelming response, with hundreds of pictures of yoga postures flooding the email boxes.
The Consulate-General of India has congratulated all participants and winners of the contest and thanked Panorama India for organizing the contest.
The pictures were judged by Anjana Kochhar, a Shivanadae Certified Seniors Instructor.

The Seventh International Day of Yoga was observed worldwide on June 21. Online Yoga sessions were organized for the benefit of the Indian diaspora and practitioners of yoga by many organizations.
It was on September 27, 2014, that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi put forth his suggestion for the observation of a ‘Yoga Day’. The resolution proposed by India was then endorsed by a record 177 member states at the UN General Assembly.
The first International Day of Yoga was observed around the world on June 21, 2015. The 2021 International Day of Yoga carried the theme “Yoga for well-being”and events were held in major cities across the world.
